sheesh, after gettting error after error using the tar.gz thing I found a rpm,installed it but i cant find it, after installing an rpm i can run the program right? I dont have to do anything at the console right? in either case the rpm installed with no errors but i dont know where the program installed to thanks for anymore help

Do you use a GUI login, if so go down to the Sesseions menu and choose Windowmaker, if you used the rpm it should be in the list of window managers to choose from.
Nevermind, I figured it out. I forgot you have to log out and log back in under the other window manager. Boy do i feel stupid! I was trying to open up WindowMaker under Kde. LOL!
