You cannot burn a DVD image with a CD driver. The data density on a DVD far exceeds a CD's ability to burn (>4G vs 650Mg), and if you want to burn a DVD, you need a DVD burner. To my knowledge, Nero is a CD burning app, so it could not be used to burn DVD's. I may be mistaken though, as I say, I've only heard of Nero being using for CD burns.

As for a DVD burning utilities in Linux, I'd suggest k3b. -- J.W.

1) can i burn DVD .ISO image using SONY Combo drive?

RE: If it's a DVD burner, I can't see why it would not. However, if what you have is a DVD-PLAYER and CD-BURNER combo, then forget it...

2) can i use normal CD(CD-R) to burn SUSE LIVE DVD .iSO image?

RE: Depends of the size of the image. A CD holds between 650-700 MB depending of the disk (some even more... I think 800, but those disks are expensive and not all burners can handle it). Whereas a DVD can be up to 4.7GB (if not a DVD9, mind you).

3) can u use NERO burning S/W to burn DVD .iSO image? if not, please let me know the best S/W.

RE:Nero 6 and higher _only_ can burn DVD's.
