I stuffed my system (long story), and had to reinstall. Now want to recompile with 2.4.2 kernel. I need ppp 2.4 to do this. Sadly my ISP is undergoing a ddos attack (!) and I can't ftp anything. If anyone's got the Tar of ppp 2.4 eg those who've recompiled recently, could they mail it to me at hotmail, as I can't get at my pop mail from the linux box, and I can't read dos floppies in it either!

Bottom line: Don't drink rum whilst using up2date!

Sorted it via windoze and my newly restored network.
Having spent hours trying to download from rawhide etc using gftp, I found a mirror using IE, and it downloaded in 2 mins. I thought it was 1.5mB, so was stunned to see it was actually 156k! I think I need more practice with ftp!
