Need help with Jpilot

Well, i've goit pilot link installed alright, now i'm trying to install jpilot, but when i do the ./configure command i get this errot message "The gtk-config script installed by GTK could not be found
*** If GTK was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GTK_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to gtk-config."

Any ideas as to what's up??

I have no idea how much this will help, but here goes. When I installed jpilot on my machine (A dell laptop) I actually used the package manager and let it tell me what other dependancies were required. That way, it installed all the correct software. Now getting JPilot to work was a whole different adventure, but I have managed to get it to sync with the T|E that I have.

Perhaps using the package manager was the cowards way out, but it did eventually work.
