I'm a newbie who is planning to install win 98 on my Hewlett-Packard notebook. After that i would also like to install Linux RedHat into my notebook as well so that i can learn more about Linux. Can anybody help me with this? My notebook is a HP 3000 series.

What your going to want to do first is check the hardware and components to see if they are compatible with Linux.
You might want to check out this site to see if your video and monitor are compatible:
And you can actually go here to see if someone has ever loaded Linux on the type of laptop you have here:
Other resources would include sites like and such on. Research first before deciding to install.

Hope this Helps in any way.
