need help with hp 2133 suse installation

i got my hp mini-note 2133 with vista from a local computer company but it was slow. i downgraded to win xp and hope to change to suse.

however, i am a beginner of linux.
after i download the suse preload from hp official site and don't know how to begin.
what should i do with the iso??
please help and don't get angry with me. just a beginner

The first thing you need to do is burn the iso to a CD or DVD - not sure what the iso is that you downloaded. An iso is a CD/DVD image, so burning the iso file straight to the CD/DVD won't work by default in XP. If you're doing this on XP I suggest you install the following app and use it to burn the iso image...

... at that point, come back here and we'll tackle the next step. :)

it is those src.rpm files.
what should i do with it?
i can't boot the disk with the image?
is it need to use YaST and how to use it as i am using win XP

Easy way down load from the opensuse website the correct Live CD
meaning the 32 bits or 64 bits version .
Burn it is as iso file
There are also for windows free ware who can burn the iso file
DEfrag windows before resizing and backup youŕe data just in case
The Live Cd is also a install Cd opensuse will guide you through the install process .
Something not clear just ask

i tried use both live cd and dvd installation for both suse 10 and 11.
But none of it success as it could not detect my hard disk.
so what i do is go back to origin.
download suse 10 from hp official website but dont know where to start with.

Sorry I was not so clear with my question , I was interested in the configuration of the HD .
As a example there are sata drive connected to Controller who emulated a IDE so in this for the OS it is IDE , even if it use sata connection cables
Or is it RAID and so on
