I downloaded gnupg amd unzipped them and I ran the install and I got the following error that stated that I didnt have a c compiler. So I ran the install on another linux box. I then tried to copy the files to my smoothwall. I know it placed the "gpg" binary in /usr/local/bin. I copied the files to my Smoothwall and placed them into /usr/local/bin. I also get this error

[root@smoothwall gnupg-1.4.7]# gpg --verify gnupg-1.4.7.tar.gz.sig
gpg: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any ideas?

*update* using an rpm extractor I was able to copy the libreadline.so.5.0 file to /usr/lib on my smoothwall however I still get the error. Any help would be most welcome thanks.

I was able to load a couple of .so files but I'm stuck on the glibc part. I have placed the libc-2.3.4 file in the usr/lib

but I made the ln-s from libc-2.3.4 to the libc.so.6 but i still get the same error.
