Need help fixing openvas error

I am having trouble getting openvas to work. I am new to kali and linux in general. I have openvas installed and I have run the openvas-check-setup and I have a few warnings, but it says the installation is OK. I am able to access the greenbone web assistant gui and I have setup a task and a target. When I try and run a task I get this error:

Operation: Start Task
Status code: 503
Status message: Service temporarily down

Here is a copy of what I get when I ryun the openvas-check-setu[p command:

root@kali:~# openvas-check-setup
openvas-check-setup 2.3.3
Test completeness and readiness of OpenVAS-8
(add '--v6' or '--v7' or '--v9'
if you want to check for another OpenVAS version)

Please report us any non-detected problems and
help us to improve this check routine:
