FC: i will assume:
1) you are using gdm/kdm/ or xdm... i think gdm will be default
2) smbfs is supported
as for windows shares, you need to put an entry into /etc/fstab -- i have one that looks like:

mp3 -- there is a liscensing/copyright obstacle of some sort when it comes to RH/FC supporting this format... you need to patch your media applications
now you need to open your 'control center' or some-such to edit gdm... i'm sorry that i can't reference this exactly for you, but if you dig through the options you should be able to find an auto-logon feature, and if you have your media player open when you log out, and say 'save settings' then it should open when you log back in
