I run a home network which has an old wireless router. I can connect to it from Windows machines w/o any problems, but we are in the process of downsizing the Windows laptops and bringing on Linux Laptops.
Now if I scan for my network I get the folllowing:
Cell 04 - Address: 00:0D:14:00:92:F8
ESSID:"mynetwork"
Mode:Master
Frequency:2.437 GHz (Channel 6)
Quality=56/70 Signal level=-39 dBm Noise level=-95 dBm

Now my FC10 laptop has KDE running on it and I have tried connecting using its software (Knetwork Manager.) For the record my network uses static addresses.
I have selected WPA Version 1 and I have told it to use the TKIP cipher. It does not connect though and I am not sure what is wrong. Also, if and when I get this working can I copy this script so that I can use it under gnome (I hate KDE) and so I can also use it on my Wife's Ubuntu machine. I assume that when using the KDE software I enter the password for the network in ascii, not hex. Please correct me if I am wrong.
