Need help choosing Linux

I am extremely new to linux I have only been exposed to it on the computers at my school I have a few computers that I would like to load linux on however I'm not sure what kind of linux would be best. They need to be fairly user friendly as these are going to be used by people who are scared of comand line interface. The linux that we have at our school is Mandrake so I am familiar with that I have also aquired an x86 version of darwin along the way. The computers that I ahve are a pentium 100, a power pc 6100/60 and a power book 3400 I was just wondering if any one had any sugestion about what kind of linux would be best for these computers

also...doing a little forum browsing on this site will also help you as this kind of question has been asked a zillion times. I believe there is a sticky somewhere that specifically gives you advice about EXACTLY this question.

Well if you want to use all 3 with the same flavor your choices will be cut down as PPC and x86 versions of linux from the same distro are not as common.

I don't use PPC but have heard good things about Yello Dog Linux. I also think (read: not sure) that SuSE has PPC and x86 versions of their linux. Look around I am sure there are more.

Also a P 100 is going to run painfully slow with any mainstream distro so be forewarned and good luck!
