i am unable to connect modem through the linux operating system
redhat linux 9shirke i having the internal modem dax.i tried with dax driver cd please give me solution

Is it a winmodem? If so, check it against the list at http://www.linmodems.org to see if there is a Linux driver available.

If there isn't, you're screwed. Either way, the driver CD you have won't be of much use since I doubt it has drivers for any OS other than Windows.
