Need advice on editing mdb files

Hi!
I constantly need to edit mdb files of my website. I have mdbtools and mdbtools-gmdb installed, that I can export mdb via csv file to sxc openoffice, edit and then transform back. But I need ms-office to read xls and save it to mdb again. This is kinda cumbersome. Do you guys know of any other simpler method, besides switching from mdb+asp to php+mysql that I can't for the moment?

I even considered installing win here. If I do so, what precautions shall I take in order to win not erase my already running debian sarge's lilo boot sector?

Thank you guys!

Sorry, I cannot help with your problem but I can answer this...

There is *no* way to prevent this (send an angry letter to MS). You are just going to have to make sure you have a boot floppy or some other way to boot your debian and then reinstall lilo. Sorry....
