Need Accounting Software recomendations

I'm looking for a Quickbooks/Peachtree alternative. Right now I'm playing with Quasar which actually seems ok. Does anybody know of any others. I've read that Quickbooks runs ok on Crossover Office. which I already have to run IE (sorry I have to for work) So I will prob do that but would also like to find a good alternative and save the $$$. So I don't have to dice up my Harddrive install you know what :(

have you looked at GNUcash - more like Quicken but it can be used for small businesses, I believe.

otherwise you will have to browse http:/sourceforge.net for open source projects that run on MySQL etc.

snatale1,

I like Quasar versus GNUCash. But, don't understand accounting, nor the double entry book keeping system.

Quasar seems to be the best way to go with the Firebird SQL database.

I've got it all running.

Any accounts out there?
