Need a open source tool for software distribution
Hello Everybody,
plz tell me a tool for software Distribution, i want to install any software or any updates to several machines on my network from Remote Machine simultaneously. plz help me it's urgent

Do you mean a net-install cd/usb?
Or like you wanna add applications/programs to already installed Distro's
over several machines?

Want to add new Application
Scenerio is like this. Say in a oraganization hundreds of systems are there, and i should be able to install a new application in all those systems. OS is already installed in those system.

If you have the bandwidth, couldn't you just install the apps thru internet from remote machine?
What distro of Linux?

This post is NOT urgent to anyone but you. Do not use the Urgent or similar words in post Subjects. We are all volunteers, if you need Urgent help there are plenty of Paid supprt services that will be glad to help you.
Puppet will allow you to issue a single command and have it execute on multiple machines at once.. Good for administration of a large number of Machines, and can do what you are looking for.

I can not use internet, there are sevral proxy restrictions...i need any software like TIVOLI automated Software Distribution tool.

No internet access ? Setup local repositories iwth just the packages you wish to distribute.
A few more options to look at..
CFEngine - http://www.cfengine.org/about.php
Chef - Configuration Management http://wiki.opscode.com/display/chef/Home
(this question was over at slashdot today btw.. I'm sure if you browse the comments you will find even more options to look at.
