ndiswrapper install problems

hi, i am trying to install ndiswrapper onto my laptop ( suse 9.1 personal) so that i can use my broadcom 802.11g wireless card. when i try to do he source intstall i type "make install" in the terminal and get an error message saying something along the lines of "we cant find your source build file". i looked in the folder where it should be, and i find the build file but its icon has a lock on it. then when i try to open it it says that it cannot find the file/it does not exist. help??

Make sure the kernel sources are installed. There will be a symlink in /lib/modules/<kernel-ver>/build that points to the kernel sources, e.g.

/lib/modules/<kernel-ver>/build -> /usr/src/linux-<kernel-ver>

Make sure you're root when you try to 'make install' a lock usually means that you don't have access rights to it (at least in slack).

try typing:

su
<"your root password">
make install
