nautilus problem

Hey all,

I run fluxbox as my WM but I use nautilus for my file browser. It used to all work fine but I did a reinstall a while ago for no particular reason and I can't remember when it started but now after I boot nautilus will load once for each user and thats it. After that, nothing. I tried launching it from the console and got no errors just nothing happened but this time I got this, anyone know how I can fix it?
Quote:
[cam@sylvester ~]$ nautilus --no-desktop
*** glibc detected *** nautilus: realloc(): invalid next size: 0x0827fb88 ***
I don't really want to use ROX, it doesn't turn me on. If I could get nautilus fixed I'd be stoked. Yes I've tried reinstalling it, and the whole of gnome but with no luck.

Thanks for any ideas

After experimenting, it works fine as root, I only get this problem when running it as a user.

Okay, I've had no replies to this but just FYI to anyone, deleting the .gconf*, .gnome* and .nautilus directories fixes the issue, obviously there's a file somewhere in there getting corrupted. If anyone has any suggestions further to this that'd be great but otherwise I'm not scared since nautilus is the only part of gnome I regularly use, deleting those directories every now and then doesn't have much of an impact.

Not sure if this will help but it does help nautilus in fluxbox.It won't be looking for the defaults.Create the file;
/home/user/.gtkrc-2.0
add this to it,just change the names to whatever you have in;
/home/user/.icons
/home/user/.themes
gtk-icon-theme-name = "Lush"
gtk-theme-name = "Vignette"
