Dear people,

I have recently installed debian sarge with gnome 2.6 . I cannot figure out when does nautilus create thumbnails of jpg images. The images are in most cases downloaded from my camera, and in most cases they do not get a thumbnail automatically. However, sometimes (but not always) new edited images get a thumbnail. I don't think it has something to do with the extension (.JPG, jpg, jpeg etc), or with the size (there are several ~50k images w/o thumbnail).

Does anyone have a clue? Are there any way to force the creation of thumbs?
