Nautilus autoruns CDROM

Anybody know how to turn of Nautilus opening a new window when i mount a cdrom? I like the idea but my computer is only 266MHz and nautilus consumes most of the cpu to open a window for about 10 seconds. This is really annoying when im, say, INSTALLING SOFTWARE from the distro cdroms. I'm using Debian 3.0r2 Woody with Gnome 1.4 and whatever version of nautilus comes on the cds. I've looked in Gconf and couldn't seem to find it, but i could be missing it.
