Nasty kernel oops in RH8.0 - HELP!

Recently I have been having a lot of trouble with my RH8.0 installation. I've got a Latitude C600 Dell laptop with RH8.0 kernel version 2.4.18.

Only in the last day and today I have had RH blocked out 3 times due to a kernel oops, which leaves me without the ability to do anything to unfreeze my PC (keyboard, mouse, screen frozen).

I have had a couple of messages at computer bootup saying that the physical memory size had been decreased due to some kind of issue found in RAM. Maybe this has somethign to do with this (although mind you my PC is dual boot and with WXP I've had no issue)

/var/log/messages :

I don't know where I should start to try to fix this. Can somebody help me out and tell me what I can do to correct this?

Thanks for your help.
