Question Nagios3 cant understand the directory paths.. different from the quick start guide


hi.. I've installed Nagios3 on my Ubuntu server 10.4 but the problem is that the configuration files paths are different from the quick start guide that I've read.. so i want some help in knowing how to cop with those changes.. any help?

Nagios has key configuration files in <installpath>/etc. Look at the nagios.cfg file in that directory as it specifies the paths to most of the other config files. The default is /usr/local/nagios/ - just change that to what you want.

You may also need to modify cgi.cfg for relevant directories.

We run the default /usr/local/nagios here so haven't done the above - just wanted to point out the files to you.
