Nagios question
I am trying to setup Nagios to monitor a stack of cisco switches. I want to know is how do I make nagios monitor each interface including the second switch in the stack, e.g. interface 2/0/1 and so on, so that I know exactly what port is down. thanks for any help!

If each switch is managed, then they all have their own IP addresses. Then it is just a mater of making hosts for each switch.
If they share an IP, for example if they are in a High-Availability configuration, then I am not sure how you would tell them apart. This pluggin might help though: http://www.nagiosexchange.org/cgi-bi...=2430.html;d=1 |
yeah they do share an IP address. Thanks for that link, i will try it out.
