Nagios checking linux load

I need to setup a load check that warns at 60. The load gets really high fast but goes back down really fast too so I tried doing 60 or 600 but neither of these values work

define service {
host_name HOSTNAME
service_description Load
check_command check_nrpe!check_load!600!900
use generic-service
}

"Doesn't work" doesn't say anything.

When did it last work?
What was changed recently?
What logs have you reviewed?
What freaking version of Nagios?

Don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

Have a Great Day!

Sorry I should of been more specific. With the settings that you see here my nagios monitor works just fine, it starts warning when the load is only at 6.00 6.00 6.00. The load on this server can reach up to 50.00 and I would like for it to warn when it gets to that point, not when its at 6.
