Mythtv on Fedora 19

hi all, got an issue. i have been googling it for a while now and have had no luck. essentially i have mythtv backend and frontend on a computer and on another local computer i have frontend. i am trying to use the backend from the frontend on my networked computer.

when i use the frontend/backend locally, everything works great. when i use it over my local network, (so i open mythtv on my networked computer go to watch tv and hit enter) it tries to brings in the live tv but then i nealry immediately get the error "error opening jump file program buffer" and it kicks me back to the start screen.

i have tried several things including switching tuners and changing file permissions and i get the same error.

i am completely at a loss here. it leaves me inclined to say i have some kind of permission issue because i get an report on the backend saying "expiring 0 MB for 1860" which says to me that the (what i presume is) the jump file.

thanks for looking but not answering. i actaully fingered it out and just for anyone else, i just reformatted both the other frontend and the backend with fedora 19. when doing such, stupidly i did not set a hostname. normally that is no big thing but apparently myth is reliant on having hostnames when a frontend is on another computer than the backend (in actuality in this case it is because both hostnames ended with the same by default selection of not setting one otherwise). to correct the issue i just set the hostname on the frontend and it worked perfectly.

one thing to note, the cannot open jump file error can be one of several issues. this is just one...

hope this helps if you were looking for it.
