mysterious java plugin

I have the latest version of the the JRE from sun's website and im using both the latest versions of mozilla and netscape. When I try to run a java app (Yahoo games for example) both browsers terminate on me without any error. The correct plugin (/ns610/javalibplugin_oji.so) is installed in the correct directory for both browsers and the About screen in Netscape is telling me the plugin is there and enabled. I even manually ran /etc/profile.d/java.sh and restarted both browsers.. this seems real strange, anyone had similar problems?

UPDATE: Sorry for the above waste of space. I thought I had the plugins symlinked, but apprently not.. Doing so fixed my problem.
