MySQL Won't Start! Urgent!
 

I was having problems with my old installation of mysql, so I decided to backup the databses and reinstall. I just reinstalled mysql 3.28, and now when I start mysql I get this error:

[root@main mysql]# service mysql start
[root@main mysql]# Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql
051229 23:06:59 mysqld ended
...and then nothing happens

(I am running fedora core 3) Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Any help is appreciated. I need to get my databases back online.

What does the error log say?

Nevermind, I am experiencing other problems with this server too. I think my best option is to format the drive, then start over.
