MySQL/Postgre and Attachments

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a stable and reliable alternative to store attachements in a database. I know that it is not preferable but im deploying an application which requires this and I dont want to use Informix or Oracle.

I had read that while MySQL supports this it is not that 'stable' or 'reliable'. What about Postgre? Any body using postgre to store Binary data??

Your advise or feedbacks would be great!!!
