MySQL Administrator or other backup tool

hi, has any of you experience with the new MySQL Administrator ?

You can get it on the MySQL official site ... Products -> Administrator -> Download

I have it up and running and it's looks nice especially the schedule option for backups ...... the issue I have is (... maybe a setup problem) that I can configure the package for a scheduled backup (cron) but nothing happens on the scheduled time ...

If anyone have tried this ... give me a hint

Or an advice on which tool to use (...automated backup is key), I'm running phpMyAdmin at the moment

best regards eva

Welcome to LQ.

I haven't used the Admin tool yet but have you checked to see if there is a command in your crontab?
crontab -l
