Mysql 5.0.45 In Slackware 12.1with Php 4.4.7 and Apache 2.0.61


Hello guys,

kindly help me to figure out my problem related to mysql5.0.45, php 4.4.6and Apache 2.0.61 using Slackware 12.1. I'm trying to access this link http://192.168.0.12/vicidial/admin.php and then prompted me an error:

Please advise. Im sure that mysql is started coz i went to mysql prompt with out any error, also created database, table and input data for the same.

Please advise how can I reconfigure mysql.

Looks like whatever application your using isn't properly authenticated. Check your user credentials for such application in your database.

but how can i check my user credentials in my database,could u kindly give me an example or idea? Pls help me with my problem.

any suggestion is highly appreciated.

mysql> use mysql;

mysql> select * from user where User='username';

You won't be able to see your password but at least make sure the user is there, with proper access. Try changing the password and make the changes with whatever PHP application you're trying to use in it's config, etc.
