my ps doesn't work?

Well, my ps doesn't quite work the way I'd like it to.

When I type ps, I get this:
PID TTY TIME CMD
17430 pts/2 00:00:00 bash
17470 pts/2 00:00:00 ps

(Using RedHat 9.0) What to do?

Try adding some switches:

ps -aux

Okay, that output is normal...but not very descriptive no.

You didn't say, but I'm guessing you want to see *all the services? In that case try:

ps -A

Also, check out 'man ps' and 'man alias'

I just did: alias ps='ps -A|more'
Then you can just do a ps to see all the services. I hope this helps.
