Hi
I'm a linux newbie
I'm using an Intel 536EP modem under FC4. I managed to make my driver working. But, after some time (ramdomly) I'm online my pc stalls and the only way to recover is to reset. Some say that could be a problem of buffering, such as the driver doesn't deallocate memory correctly. Is it possible? Someone knows hot to do? Don't want to loose everything i'm doing every time I dial-up!
Welcome to LQ. I think it would be helpful to have more info - what do you mean by "stalling"? Does it mean that the browser is unresponsive, the entire system hangs, the Internet connection dies, etc.
Sorry :-).
Yes, in fact all these things happen: browser becomes unresp., the entire system hangs (mouse pointer doesn't move, connection time isn't updated,...) and finally connection dies.
