Post rfkill list state. Example from my Racy Puppy Linux install.

Code:
sh-3.00# rfkill list
0: phy0: wlan
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no
wlan is my wireless interface. As you can see. There are no blocks from the keys.

That is the Windows in you thinking that. He can't delete the wireless driver. The driver is a .ko module in the kernel.

A info script I use for posting things like you are talking about is inxi

It is easy for you to install in ZorinOS with just one command in terminal. Copy and paste this into terminal.

Code:
sudo cd /usr/local/bin && wget -Nc smxi.org/inxi && chmod +x inxi
Hit enter. Type in password. Hit enter. Then let it download and install when done. Then in next post besides the rfkill I showed you. Post this output next.

Code:
sh-3.00# inxi -Fxz

Either your mate messed with your wireless hotkeys (rfkill). Or. He turned off wireless in bios (look and check and see). Or. He screwed up Network Settings in Zorin. He can't delete the driver. Unless you PO'd him and he is linux knowledgeable and hates your guts.

As far as screwed up Network settings in Zorin. I only have working knowledge of WICD network manager. Not the others. So will need that info also ( icon should tell you in about or help).

So need, rfkill output, inxi -Fxz output, what Network Icon says it is as far as Network manager name (I ask this because it looks like Zorin comes in different configurations).
