My Kernel is Panicking!!!
Well I reinstalled windows and it all went fine and Lilo remained and Linux is still there...I know becuase im using Explore2fs in Windows and can see all my Linux files....
Anyway im using Mandrake Linux 10 on the 2.6.3-19 Kernel..I created a new partition for backup and then reinstalled windows...It all went fine as mentioned above...However now when I try and enter linux I get this during boot up... resuming from /dev/hda6 Resuming from device hda6 Kernel panic : Resume machine : Unable to find suspened-data signature ( - mispelled? Then I can't do anything..I attempted to reinstalled but got an error, which was something like this.. Error : "something which I cant remember" hda6 Any ideas what to do? cheers |
/me gives your kernel some anti-anxiety pills so it'll stop panicking...
There is a lesson to this actually, or more likely, a rule. Always, and I mean always, make your partitions first. Second, install windows. And third, install linux. Changing this order results in various states of disorder as windows f*cks with the system :) Probably a good time to re-install linux. |
WHY WHY must it be like this?
|
Well this is bizarre, i removed the partition and now it works..??????

Remember. Windows is like the borg, it tries to assimilate everything it sees. heh...
