My GNOPPIX is in german.. how do i change it?


I have just downloaded the GNOPPIX, Linux Live On CD distro, and i dont understand a damn.... the system starts in german, and thats pretty ugly to a southamerican guy like me :P

Anybody knows how to change the language once you are in GNOME????

Heh, I know of a Knoppix (http://www.knoppix.net/), I think the G in Gnoppix stands for German (not sure though). Try and download that one.

not, you're wrong my friend...

KNOPPIX = KDE

GNOPPIX = GNOME

it's the same system, but the diference is in the graphic enviroment....

i got KNOPPIX but it came by default in english, but GNOPPIX not

Hmm my bad then, where did you download Gnoppix from?

Im not sure bout gnoppix but in knoppix some ppl threw some scripts together to make life easier maybe they did it for gnoppix too......

at boot hit f2 ......type:

knoppix lang=us

i'm not sure, but i believe that the 'lang=us' parameter is for the keyboard configuration....
