Angry my compiler problem is in the libraries

Earlier I was complining about linking. After some clever debugging I discoverd that somthing is up with fileno( file).

I open ("test.alg."RW and yyin has (FILE *)(05) OK thats what a file shows me in GDB. Flex passes this arround but when I get to 1653 file has (FILE *)(05). So as far as I can tell this is a valid file handle.

the call to fileno( file) get SEGERRV Segment fault

So I looked on the 9.0 system sources and got the debug vesion of libc.
It compiled for an hour on a AMD200 cput. No errors, no warnings nothing
gcc - test -L/root/gllibc/glibc2.3.1 yy.lex.o -lc

This now has unreoved end_stack@PRIVATE_COMPILER

I cant find any references to this variable. It is not in in the 1.2.1 library and I cant find it in the sources. So does anybody know where this came from, what it means and how do resolve it.?

Angry

although the message said I was a newbie . I am not . sorry,
I am a seasoned and experience software type. I have written major
nontrivial programs in pascal, modula 2, oberon, protel, fortran 66, fortran 77 and others
the problem with C is that the language has changed and old sources are not compilable.
GCC sometimes suffers from its headlong dash into the future.

I am annoyed because I want to build MY compiler not repair the system

__end_stack@COMPILE_PRIVATE

looks like a compiler var. I cannot find it in any source --
there are 100,000 lines and 500 program sources. the sheer size of the search
is hard. the noise to data ratio is not good

I need someone what knows what this is to tell me.
