Early review then: The articles are hardly breaking news, lack punch, and fail to add to the readers knowledge. There is a lot of work yet to be done here. It is early days yet, and the author doesn't seem to know where to focus his work. Details:
Dell Linux: up to date, this is not:[quote]I heard that Dell will also be selling desktop with Linux, not sure about that yet but will update soon[/paste]... from the blog (Nov. 2).
Try:

... but, perhaps, you mean "in Canada"? But if the blog is intended to be Canada-specific, then you should say so. If you "heard" something, you should say where.
Avant Dock ... or do you mean the Avant Window Navigator? You forgot to put a link. To the homepage or to a howto - this would be nice as it doesn't seem to be in aptitude.

Your article on Office Ultimate for Students doesn't discuss the license. The EULA expects you to buy a new license when you stop being a student. It is also not transferable... if you sell your computer, you are expected to remove the student edition as well. (At least in NZ, dunno about Canada.)
Fairs - fair though.... have a look at

hbclinux.net.nz
... barely better but less ambitious. Included so you get to do unto me...
Aside:
"softwares"? Did you know that "software" is a class, and is, therefore, neither singular nor plural. Pluralizing by sticking an s on the end can induce pain in fluent English speakers akin to fingernails dragged down a blackboard. If it helps, you can think of "software" as the plural of "software".
