My Banshee won't wail!

I use Suse 10.1 on which I am running the Gnome desktop. Every time I put a CD in the drive and attempt to play it using Banshee, I get either one song played or part of one played and then Banshee freezes, forcing me to use force quit. Today I was using an Open Office programme when this occurred. Any idea of how to stop Banshee freezing when playing CDs?

There could be any number of reasons why you are experiencing this. You could have a bad disk, drive, or other system hardware. There could be a driver conflict, or corrupted Banshee install.

Have you checked your logs for errors or other hints?
