As root:

urpmi <package>

You didn't install the developmental packages? As root, command:
urpmi gcc
An Introduction to the Midnight Commander. You can install it by commanding:
urpmi mc

AWESOME. Now I can 'urpmi mplayer', it tells me what I need, downloads, and installs! Perfect!

I'm sure I'll need your help again sometime.

This thread got hi-jacked! Does anyone on this board have apt4rpm running on Mandrake? Or is urpmi just as good?

I still think portage is the best package manager.........
