My application gets killed somehow

Hi,

I am not a linux system expert (I am a C++ programmer). I created a program which shall run forever scanning the serial port and sending data via sockets to another host. I start my program which runs for about 10 seconds (the log file does not show any problem) and then suddenly I got a "Killed" message in the terminal windows where the application was started and it runs no more.

How could I figure out what is going on on my SUSE 10.1?

Thanks you!

Did you try compiling with the '-g' (or other debug flags) and run the application through gdb to see if it is properly terminating?
