mutt + sendmail permissions problem

mutt does not send mail. The error messages are:

Program mode requires special privileges, e.g., root or TrustedUser.
(at top of screen)

Output of the delivery process:
Error sending message, child exited 78 ().
(at bottom of screen)

Actually the user name is already in '/etc/mail/trusted-users' file.

Mutt sends mail well if the user is root.

How to get mutt capable to send mail running as simple (non root) user?

mail, mutt, permissions, sendmail
