mutt hooks
hello,
I have been using mutt for some time, but I am having some problems with activating hooks mainly save-hooks,
I am using this syntax and none is working
save-hook reed\\.co\\.uk =hotmail
save-hook fish4@ +hotmail
save-hook cbb@cs\.XXXXXX\.uk$ +camille
save-hook ~f jimenez@wfdds\.co\.uk =mjg$
save-hook '~f "jimenez@wfdds\.co\.uk"' =mjg$
save-hook jimenez@wfdds\.co\.uk +mjg
save-hook cbb@cs\.xfrt\.uk =mjg
save-hook reed\\.co\\.uk$ =hotmail
save-hook fish4@ +hotmail
save-hook cbb@cs\.xfrt\.uk$ +hotmail
all I want actually is that, as mail arrives, I want it to be automatically moved to a given mail folder.
am I missing something in the syntax, should I be enabling any flag some where in my muttrc ???
Thanks
Camille

well that's not really what mutt is for, i'd suggest somethign more dedicated, like procmail, which WILL sort your mail as it arrives, which is not what mutt would do, as it will only sort when you load mutt. how are you recieving mail in the first place?

re mutt hooks
I don't mind having to sort when I start mutt , since mutt is run on public server and I have no rights to install any software like procmail, so the hooks should work fine for me , but they don't !!!
strangely , I don't know why ???
