Mute KDE startup sound?

Just wondering does anyone know how to
mute KDE's startup sound.

muting the blessed startup sound - it's one of the first things i did... here's how -

this will depend on which version of kde you're using - i'm using 3.2, which from memory is slightly different to 3.1..

open up kde control center

go to 'sound & multimedia'

click on system notifications

a list of events should appear - i just elect to turn off sounds for all applications.

silence - bliss...

Cheers for that.

Just so as people know its under Look n Feel in KDE 3.1

i.e. Look n Feel --> system notifications
