Multiplayer with Linux and Windows on WineX

Hi all,

Is it possible to play multiplayer games such as Unreal Tournament, with a Windows machine and a Linux machine, while the linux machine is using WineX4 (cedega).

Can this also be done with Command and Conquer Red Alert 2?

Must the linux machine be running some interfacing software, or does winex handle everything?

I don't know that you're going to find much information on Unreal Tournament with winex because there are Linux versions of all UT games (as far as i know).
For more information it might be more helpful to ask these questions on the www.linux-gamers.org site.

This might shed a little light on your q? I remember reading an article on this very thing on extremetech http://www.extremetech.com/article2/...1628432,00.asp They covered (in high level) what all it took to get "real" windows games running on Linux installs. It covers WineX and a few other options for running native windows games on Linux
