multipath issues
 

HI,

I have a doubt on multipathd daemon and multipath.conf file. Already some mount points mounted on production server which have entries in multipath.conf file. Suppose, new lun's(storage) are added and If I make entries in the multipath.conf file, the multipathd daemon needs to be restarted. Now, my doubt is when the multipathd is restarted what happens to the existing mountpoints? or is there any way apart from restarting the multipathd daemon to make the changes made to multipath.conf file to take effect.

Maybe try reload instead of restart ?
