Under 'Libraries' select 'riched20' and set it to 'Native (Windows). This makes all the apps in this wineprefix use the 'riched20' library that has been installed by MS-Office instead of the default wine version. If you don't do this, Powerpoint and some other things do not work.
I would recommand you to change your choice about OFFICE. When you left Windows, why cannot you left MS OFFICE. As far as I used office, I think Libre Office is closest replacment of MS OFFICE as well it is included in most of distribution. Wine and such utilities are very irritating. It is better to use Linux Native Office suits or multiboot Linux and Windows instead of using utilities like WINE.
Remeber: You can manipulate MS OFFICE files in LIBRE OFFICE as well as you can export Libre Office document to MS OFFICE Formates like .ppt and .docx.
Lots of people still use office, if linux can make it work, then all the better.
My wife uses MS office a lot and she wont use Linux partly because office won't run. I set her up with a win10 PC, and it has been ok. I don't personally care about any particular word processor, this is just me learning. I wonder if wine 3.4 since it is pre release is the problem.
I would suggest you think about what the situation is. Again, Libreoffice can open/read/write Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files just fine...nothing special needed. Click File->Open. And aside from menu differences, you'd be hard pressed to find a feature that MS Word has that Libreoffice doesn't. Yes, there are SOME, but they are pretty esoteric features, not used by 98%+ of users.
There is NO NEED for MS Office on Linux, past just WANTING MS Word.
She works as a teacher at a high school, and she is expected by everyone to use MS Word, as most people do at that school.
It is what most people are used to using there. They did try to get people using Libre office, but did not gain any traction.
Some people use google docs, and a few other programs.
This version of MS office 2007 is a student version, which my daughter used in university.
The version the school has is word 2010.
So not much help getting PP to work in wine?
I have an ubuntu 18.04 PC, I could try and setup and see if it works using wine 3.0

You have to realize wine is unpredictable(trust me on that one), it's just like asking about a total different OS On second thought, wine does have its own forums and everything, that's where I'd start. Good Luck, let us know if you figure it out.

Again, Libreoffice has the ability to read/write MS Office files. You can save a Libreoffice write document as an MS Word document with zero problems. Same with Libreoffice Calc/Excel and Libreoffice Impress/Powerpoint. File->Save as. Don't have to tell ANYONE you're using Libreoffice, period...they'll never know. Sorry, but there is just no reason to use MS Office on Linux.

Wine 3.0 is the latest stable version, so using it would be the best course of action, if you see fit to.
MS Word is rated Silver, but Obsolete on the WineHQ Database. Excel 2010 is Bronze (a good number of issues), and is also obsolete. 2007 versions are even worse.

Sticking my oar in to help muddy the waters
When I was an active high school teacher I used Open- or Libre- Office under Linux exclusively. Never had a problem swapping "word" or "excel" files with anyone (although I never needed to swap presentation files). And the only people who knew were the three IT support staff and anybody who looked over my shoulder and asked about the different look.

If you don't need the other office apps, just install Word under Wine, or you could, as a last resort, use the online version, though that DOES need to be a last resort.
Word 2003 seems to be the better one to use if you don't need the later crap.
Do you know that now with Office 365 we have the possibility to install just the new templates? This is great 'cause sometimes we really do need some programs but we have to pay for them. You know in the past we had to buy the full package of Office. I don't think that it was correct to do such things. That is why I started to look for new templates. The best that I found was this one This new powerslide template gave me the possibility to make my business analysis for work. I have been using it for some months and I'm satisfied with it. I can open all types of files there and even some videos that I couldn't work with, in PowerPoint.
And it's 'not correct' to post spam and ignore forum rules; you've been reported, and chances are good this post (and your account) will be deleted shortly.
Personally, I was interested in using this tool as the main one in my work because it is quite convenient to use, and I found <JUNK SPAM LINK REMOVED> which turned out to be a great addition to this Arsenal of useful tools because presentations make up the bulk of our self-isolation homework. Now it's much easier to make presentations when you have everything you need in your computer, including an excellent template that you can't find in free quality
