mplayerplug-in

I installed the mplayerplug-in from tarball on my SuSE 8.2 box.
I went to the Quicktime website to try out movie trailer.

The plugin loaded and the trailer began to play, but the video was jerky and the audio kept cutting out.

Anyone know how to solve this? I'm using Firebird 0.6.1 and which ever version of mplayer comes with 8.2.

I solved this problem with dvd playback with the hdparm command. Is there something similar for this plugin?

Try using the cache option? In your mplayer conf file:
cache = 128

?

Try a different video output:
vo = xv

Compile your own mplayer, don't use the crippled ones packaged with your distro.

...

Some options ;)

Cool
