mplayer vesa access as user?
Hello everybody,
I installed mplayer on my machine, but can't use the vesa output mode as user. as this output mode runs fastest on my oldie, I want to use it... with root it works fine, for users mplayer exits with:
$ mplayer -vo vesa test\ opener\ 3.avi
Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device.
that's all, no further information is given. Is there a vesa representative in the /dev directory where I have to set permissions? First time I try it on slackware 10, it worked perfect on slackware 9.1.
thanx for helping.
