Mplayer unable to play 'wmv' format
 

hi folks ...

i tried playing wmv video files with mplayer , but all i get is the audio part of the file where as the video part of the file vanishes with the display of a msg - " unable to play..... blah .... blah ...." . can any one suggest me a plugin , that enables mplayer to play wmv files with the vidoe part of it ...
did a bit of googling , but to no effect ....

thanks in advance ...
the mplayer i use is the latest version displayed on the site....

Download the codecs on this page:
http://ftp3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
and place them in /usr/win32
