mplayer skins how to install please
hi all
i installed mpalyer recently .. well it works but the sound while running DivX movies doesn't appear .. what is wrong?
i wanted to install the UI for it .. downloaded the plastic skin and
copied the content of the zipped file in this dir:
/usr/local/share/mplayer/Skins/
now what??
i heard that i should execute "gmplayer" instead of"mplayer" but gmplayer doesn't exist in the system ..
any help would be appreciated

you really should read the documentation for mplayer at http://mplayerhq.hu and if that doesn't help, check the mplayer user mailing lists.
also run mplayer from a console and acutally read any warning messages, they are usually VERY informative.

After reading the docs, in a nutshell, compile with ./configure --enable-gui, download the default skin and install it, start gmplayer and from the right click menu change the skin. You need to have the default skin, or else you need to edit the config file ti point it to your particular skin.
