Hi there
If i install mplayer using yum will i need to install libdvdcss and win32codecs separately using yum or will yum recognise these as dependencies?. If not which packages do i need that are not included in the mplayer package to make mplayer work properly?.Also i have a system that is based on fedora 8 so if i want mplayer do i need the mplayer that is included in the fedora 8 packages at,say,freshrpms or can i just install the latest mplayer? because at freshrpms there are the same programs, sometimes, that appear under different links depending on which version of fedora you've got.Thank you in advance

Oh and do i have to remove mplayer before installing it again?

if you installed it like this 'yum install -y mplayer', I think only mplayer is installed
